*Please note - we do not ship chicks. Be sure that you can arrange transportation or pick up your chicks before placing a deposit. We are near Lebanon, OR.
You can reserve your chick(s) here by paying the deposit. We fulfill these orders first as chicks are available in the order the deposit is received. We do not ship emu chicks, but we can arrange to meet or deliver - cost will vary. Choose the gender and color. If you would happen to choose a gender/color combination that is not available in the current hatching year, you can transfer your deposit to next year’s hatch or we can issue you a refund.
Emus are fun, goofy and incredibly curious birds. They are the second largest bird species and originate in Australia. When standing erect with neck outstretched, a emu measures approximately 6 feet tall. Males weigh approximately 120 pounds while the female is actually larger at about 130 pounds.
Emu chicks are very social and need at least one other companion emu. Please plan on buying at least two if you are just getting started.
We incubate our emu eggs and then have their blood DNA tested for proof of gender. You will receive the certificate with your emu.
